Impressive plant sure to inspire!

While it’s very hot here, things are growing rapidly, or slowly when you are as tall as this flower spike.  I had this first as a pot plant  and then as it grew too large, eventually I planted it out into garden some 10 years ago. With this, the first time it has flowered, I am looking forward to seeing how tall the flower will get and it’s colour.  Not positive of the name of the plant as no name tag came with it , but I think it is  a Gymea lily also know as Giant Spear Lily, which is a native Australian plant.  So I am especially excited to see what my flower looks like as this will give a positive identification.
Planning some drawings and lino prints based on it’s progress.
Will keep you posted.
